Dr. Charles H. Mann has practiced in the Triangle area since 1982. In May of 1991 he moved to Cary, N.C. and opened Mann ENT Clinic in association with his wife, Beth Mann, a certified audiologist. Both Dr. and Mrs. Mann are from West Virginia and graduated from West Virginia University.
Dr. Mann received his M.D. in 1966 and spent 5 years in the U.S. Navy as a flight surgeon. Subsequently, he received his specialty training at the University of Florida, which he completed in 1974. He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.
He has taught on the staff of three medical schools: 1974-1982 private practice and academic affiliation with the University of Wisconsin Madison; 1982-1991 private practice at McPherson Hospital, Durham, NC and Clinical Associate at Duke University Medical School. He completed a teaching appointment at West Virginia University Medical School, Department of Otolaryngology, specializing in sinus surgery.
Dr. Mann has also completed special studies in the technique of functional endoscopic sinus surgery with Dr. W. Messerklinger in Graz, Austria. Dr. Messerklinger developed this revolutionary technique in the early 1960’s.
